Dec 16, 2022 | 6:00 AM

Alberta Justice says one of the people charged after the death of a Clairmont man has pleaded guilty.

Simon De Lima pleaded guilty to a charge of murder earlier this month in Grande Prairie court.

He was one of five people charged after the shooting death of Kyler Commandeur in June of 2020. He was found dead along Highway 677 west of Highway 2 near the Woking turnoff.

De Lima will be back in court January 30, 2023.

A murder trial for Cody Letourneau is set for February 13 to March 3, 2023.

In July, Justin John Bishop was given a 66-month sentence after pleading guilty to a manslaughter charge.

Melissa Aletha Healey has pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawful confinement.

Krista Marie Healey had been charged with accessory to murder after the fact, but a stay of proceedings was put in place on November 1, 2021.

Trial date set in shots fired arrest

Alberta Justice says trial dates have been set for the man charged after shots were fired at an occupied car near Lymburn in August of this year.

The trial for Ronald Pruss of Lymburn is set for September 18, 2023, in Grande Prairie.

He was charged after an incident on August 21 of this year.

RCMP said at the time that a suspect had blocked a road with a cable, forcing the driver of a car to stop.

Shots were fired at the car, but the driver took off and no one was hurt.

Fine given to one accused in July stolen property arrest

Alberta Justice says of the two people charged after a drug arrest in Grande Prairie, one has been fined after pleading guilty to one of the charges they were facing.

Monica Diane L’Hirondelle of High Prairie was given a $300 fine after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of stolen property under $5000. A possession of a prohibited weapon charge plus another of possession of stolen property under $5000 were withdrawn.

She was one of two people charged after RCMP were called out to a break and enter on the 1100 block of 100 Street on June 26 this year.

Police tracked down the suspects, plus two vehicles, and a hotel room they were associated with. Searches turned up stolen property, suspected crystal meth and a set of brass knuckles.

A warrant has been out for the second accused, Michael Siemens of Bezanson since he failed to show up for court on September 28.
