RCMP are warning Albertans to not warm up vehicles with keys inside

RCMP is encouraging Albertans to not leave vehicles running with the doors unlocked and keys in the ignition.

Even with colder temperatures, waiting inside your vehicle until it warms up, is the safest practice.

RCMP make is encouraging these practices as Mounties in Whitecourt are investigating multiple vehicle thefts over the last two weeks.

Since December 5, there have been five vehicles stolen from the Whitecourt area; all of which were left unlocked with the keys in the ignition to warm up.
