Spirit River Emergency Department closed for 36 hours

Due to staffing issues, the Emergency Department at the Central Peace Health Complex in Spirit River is closed temporarily.
From 7:00 p.m. on December 27, to 7:00 a.m. on December 29, the ED will be closed.
People are asked to call 911 if they are having a medical emergency and if residents are arriving at the medical facility during the closure, they will be redirected to surrounding facilities for care options appropriate to their needs.
Other non-emergency options include: returning when service resumes, booking an appointment with a family doctor, or calling Health Link at 811.
