Grande Prairie woman $1 million richer from scratch ticket

A Grande Prairie resident says she’s “feeling like a million bucks” after winning a million dollars from an X instant ticket.

Donna Chmilar bought her ticket on November 29, at the Derrik Husky along 100 Avenue, and scratched it later at home to realize she won a million dollars.

She then had her ticket validated by a cashier at a nearby store, to be sure.

Chmilar said in a news release; “These things don’t just happen, I’m still shaking. I’m going to pay off my mortgage and purchase a new vehicle.”
