Among the charges laid against Christopher Chowace-Mitchell of Grande Prairie are:

  • Reckless discharge of a firearm

  • Possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized

No injuries were reported from the incident.

A shelter in place order was issued by RCMP for an area around 115B Street, between Range Road 63 and Westpointe Drive. That order was eventually lifted at around 2:30 a.m. Friday morning.
