Grande Prairie’s Finton family shares $1 million lotto win

Dennis, Jane, and Lucas Finton are splitting $1 million amongst themselves after winning the top prize on an ULTIMATE instant ticket on November 21, 2022.

The trio’s winning ticket was picked up by Dennis from Circle K on 96 Street in Grande Prairie.

Dennis says, “after I bought the tickets, I just went to the self-checker.”

“A bunch of numbers came up, so I rechecked it,” which turned out to be one million dollars.

He says he was so shocked he got the store clerk to check his ticket and they were jumping up and down, “they were more excited than I was.”

This isn’t the first time the Finton’s have claimed a significant lottery windfall… in December 2020 Dennis and Jane shared a $500,000 prize off a 20X MULTIPLIER instant ticket.

Jane and Dennis say they plan to use their portion of the winnings to buy a new vehicle and help others.

Lucas also plans on buying a new car and the rest for his wedding, “I’m going to get married in 2023!” he exclaimed with a smile while picking up the winnings.
