County of Grande Prairie looking for Farm Family of the Year nominees

The County of Grande Prairie is looking for nominations for this year’s Farm Family of the Year Award.

The deadline for nominations has been extended to January 30.

The County says in a release that the award recognizes families that have “made significant contributions to agriculture in the County and represents strong values through their farming practices and community involvement.”

“We take pride in celebrating the families that have made a positive impact on agriculture in our region and are committed to their communities. With recognition dating back to 1969, the award represents a significant part of the County’s agricultural roots,” says county Agricultural Fieldman Sonja Raven in that same release.
