UPDATE: Freezing rain warnings ended

Environment Canada says the freezing rain warnings it issued earlier on Friday, January 13 have ended.

The warnings were out for the Grande Prairie – Beaverlodge – Valleyview and Peace River – Fairview – High Prairie – Manning areas.

The weather office says surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may be icy and slippery and to be prepared to adjust driving habits with the changing road conditions.

There is also a heavy snowfall warning out for the Pine Pass area in BC.

Environment Canada says the Williston region could see 10 to 15 cm of snow today (Friday, January 13).
