Fort St. John RCMP say pill found in Hallowe’en chocolate bar was a pain killer
Fort St. John RCMP say a pill found in a chocolate bar just after Hallowe’en turned out to be a pain killer.
Police say chemical analysis on the pill says it was Ibuprofen.
Mounties got a report on November 1, 2022, of a white, circular pill found in a full-size chocolate bar.
“Placing an unknown pill inside a child’s treat undermines the safety and security of a neighbourhood but at least in this situation, the pill was found, and no child was harmed. This was an isolated incident and the parent that found the pill did the right thing by reporting it to police,” says Constable Chad Neustaeter, Media Relations Officer for the Fort St John RCMP, in a release from the detachment.
