Up to 35 cm of snow expected by Thursday
Environment Canada has issued snowfall warnings for the Grande Prairie – Beaverlodge – Valleyview, Peace River – Fairview – Manning High Prairie, and Hinton – Grande Cache forecast areas.
Between Grande Prairie and heading south to Grande Cache is expected to receive the most snowfall, with anywhere between 20 to 35 cm to accumulate over the next two days.
Prolonged periods of heavy snow will begin today throughout the highlighted regions, with 20 – 25 cm expected near and south of Highway 49, between Highway 2 and the British Columbia border.
The heaviest snowfall will be tonight and will go into Wednesday, and is expected to taper off by Thursday.
