Most snowfall warnings end, extreme cold warnings now in place for some parts of the Peace

The snowfall warnings have ended for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview, Peace River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning, and Hinton-Grande Cache forecast areas.

Environment Canada now has extreme cold warnings out for the Peace River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning, Slave Lake, High Level-Rainbow Lake-Fort Vermilion-Mackenzie Hwy, Slave Lake, and Wabasca-Peerless Lake-Gift Lake-Cadotte Lake forecast areas.

Wind chills in the -40s are possible into Thursday.

There is still a snowfall warning in place for the Highway 97-Pine Pass area of the BC Peace River forecast area, where 20 to 40 centimeters of snow are expected by Friday afternoon. The snowfall warning has ended for the rest of the BC Peace.
