A Fox Creek resident’s lottery win scores them half a million

A Fox Creek resident is half a million dollars richer after using Play Alberta to purchase a lottery ticket for the December 8, Daily Grand draw.

Frankie Smith said after they received an email from the platform the next morning, they suspected a pleasant surprise.

“I was in shock” and “I’m still in shock,” they said in a release.

After matching all his five numbers, they had the choice of $25,000 every year for the rest of their life or the lump sum and opted for the half a million.
