Potash company makes another large donation to STARS

BHP Canada has announced a $1.5 million donation to STARS Air Ambulance operations across Western Canada.

A long time supporter of STARS, the latest contribution by BHP Canada brings the total commitment by the resource company to over $6.3 million since 2012.

In a release, BHP President of Potash Simon Thomas said the life-saving services that STARS provides is absolutely critical, adding the company is proud to continue to support their work.

STARS air ambulance operates six bases across Western Canada, including one in Grande Prairie.

It started its upgrade to H145 helicopters in 2019, and now all six bases have the new machines as part of their service.
