Grande Prairie RCMP say a curfew check on a man already facing drug trafficking charges has resulted in more charges.

Mounties say on January 29, they did a check at a home, but the man was not there.

Police returned February 3 and arrested him for breaching release conditions.

A search turned up 40.58 grams of methamphetamine, 3.82 grams of crack cocaine, 21.03 grams of cocaine, 21.52 grams of fentanyl, drug trafficking paraphernalia and $1943 cash.

Thirty-seven-year-old Jeffrey Klimack of Grande Prairie is facing three new charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two of failure to comply with a release order.

Klimack was remanded and was due in court Monday.

he and co-accused Denise Pierce have a preliminary hearing set for February 23 in Grande Prairie court on trafficking and other charges related to an arrest in October of 2021.
