Wind warnings issued

Environment Canada has issued wind warnings for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Hythe, Peace River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning, Hinton-Grande Cache, and BC Peace River forecast areas.

Wind gusts up to 90 km/h are expected Monday.

Forecasters say the wind will taper off this evening near Grande Prairie and Peace River but will remain strong along the foothills until tomorrow morning.

Environment Canada says these warnings are issued when there is a risk of damaging wind.
