RCMP re-opened a section of 100 St.

UPDATE:

RCMP would like to advise residents 100 Street from 72 Avenue to 75 Avenue is now clear.

Mounties would also like to thank the public for their patience.

Grande Prairie RCMP closed down 100 Street, between 72 Avenue and 75 Avenue after a motor vehicle collision.

Mounties reports says a vehicle travelling at a high-rate speed towards the S-shaped turn, lost control and struck a power pole.

The lone adult female driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Police are asking motorists to avoid the area and expect a lengthy delay until the road re-opens.

Currently, the RCMP Reconstructionist is on the scene.
