Applications being accepted for annual Roadside Clean-Up

The County of Grande Prairie is gearing up for the return of its Roadside Clean-Up program and is now accepting applications from local non-profit and community groups interested in taking part.

The clean-up will take place in May, with successful applicants picking up litter along county roadways, ditches, and hamlets, and being paid for each kilometre they clean.

Last year, 45 non-profit groups took part, collecting around 14 tonnes of garbage from just over 299 kilometres of County roadways, earning a combined $69,910 in the process.

Applications close at 4:30 pm on March 24.
