Two silver medals for Grande Prairie’s Tinworth at the Canada Winter Games

A Grande Prairie athlete has won two medals at the Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island.

Liam Tinworth captured silver in the 7.5-kilometre biathlon sprint on Monday then followed that up with another silver on Tuesday in the 10-kilometre pursuit.

Tinworth will race in the 12.5-kilometre individual race on Thursday.

He also raced internationally this year, competing in some races in Europe.

Alberta was third in the medal standings at the Canada Games as of late Wednesday with 22 medals, seven gold, nine silver, and six bronze.
