ACAC awards for Wolves coach, players

The Alberta Colleges Athletics Conference has given volleyball awards to a coach and two players with the Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves.

Men’s volleyball coach Sam Tu’ivai has been named the ACAC Volleyball Coach of the Year.

It’s the third time he’s been awarded with the achievement after also being picked in 2016 and 2020.

Tu’ivai was presented with the award at provincials over the weekend in Fort McMurray.

The two awards captured by Wolves players include Katie Nashim being named ACAC North Rookie of the Year and Tom Wheeler being named an All Conference Middle Blocker.
