Grande Prairie Curling Centre hosting U15 provincials
Eighteen rinks from across Alberta are in Grande Prairie for the U15 curling provincials.
They got going Thursday and will run through Sunday at the Grande Prairie Curling Centre.
There are five rinks from the Peace taking part; that includes the Hayden Phillips, Kale Myker, and Livi Maksymetz teams from Grande Prairie, the Robert Nelson rink from Sexsmith and the Kaelyn Jones team from Dawson Creek.
Nelson and Myker played each other in Draw 2 this afternoon, with Nelson going to 2-0 with a 9-4 win. Myker is 1-1. Both won their openers in Draw 1 Thursday morning. Maksymetz and Phillips dropped their openers in Draw 2.
