Man arrested for Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation shooting death

Update on March 13 at 8:42 p.m. – Alberta RCMP Major Crimes advise that Vincent Campiou was located and arrested without incident. RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes unit is looking for a man accused of murder after a shooting death at Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.

A warrant for arrest is out for 37-year-old Vincent Nathan Campiou of no fixed address.

He has been charged with second-degree murder after the shooting death of 59-year-old Patricia Campiou.

Police got a report at around 8 PM Sunday of a shooting at a Sturgeon Lake home.

Vincent Campiou is described as 6′, 165 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a medium complexion.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 right away.
