Grande Gathering Gala fundraiser returns

An event that not only brings the community together in reconciliation, but also serves as a major fundraiser for the Grande Prairie Friendship Centre, is set to return this summer.

Details have been unveiled for the second annual Grande Gathering Gala which will take place June 17, 2023, at Bonnett’s Energy Centre.

This year’s event will feature an Indigenous-inspired meal, and entertainment including country singer Teigen Gayse and three-time world champion hoop dancer Dallas Arcand

There will also be silent and live auctions throughout the night, as well as an Indigenous artist who will paint a piece live during the event, which will then be auctioned off later in the evening.

GPFC board member Lois Duke says in a news release that the gala is an opportunity to showcase the important work being done by the Friendship Centre, as well as garner support from the community in order to continue that work.
