Improvements coming to Bear Lake campground

County of Grande Prairie councillors held a Committee of the Whole meeting last Thursday.

A recommendation on improvements to the Bear Lake Campground is going to council. Those would include adding power to the 11 existing campsites, as well as installing a personal watercraft dock.

That work is to be done this year at an estimated cost of $169,268.

Administration was also told to explore other enhancements that could be done in future seasons.

The committee also received an update from Alberta Environment and Protected Areas regarding a proposed new trail leading into Red Willow Falls.
