Local hockey finals resume Thursday night

Both the North West Junior Hockey League and North Peace Hockey League finals are set to resume on Thursday night.

NWJHL

The County of Grande Prairie Wheat Kings host Fort St John in game four of that series.

The Wheat Kings hold a 2-1 series lead after winning the opening two games of the series last weekend, before falling 4-2 to the Huskies in Fort St John on Tuesday night.

Puck drop is 8 pm at Crosslink County Sportsplex.

Dawson Creek can claim the Campbell Cup with a win in game six of the league final. Canuck lead the Falher Pirates three games to two after an overtime win at home on Tuesday night.

The Pirates, who have been playing their home games during the final at the Baytex Energy Centre in Peace River, can force a game seven on Saturday night in Dawson Creek with a victory Thursday night.
