34th annual Fiddler’s Jamboree set to return to Grande Prairie

Mar 26, 2023 | 6:00 AM

The City of Grande Prairie is bringing back a ‘foot-stomping good time’ when the 34th annual Fiddler’s Jamboree returns to the Peace on April 2.

This year’s jamboree is a mixed bag of country-western style music performances, ranging from traditional to modern music and dancing, from a variety of skill levels.

Mayor Jackie Clayton said in a release, “The Fiddlers’ Jamboree is a treasured event in our community that helps preserve the rich culture and intangible heritage of fiddle music, Grab a couple tickets to enjoy an evening of good music, cultural dance and great company.”

The event will run from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., at the Douglas J. Cardinal Performing Arts Centre, with tickets available at Bonnett’s Energy Centre.
