Funeral held for two Edmonton police officers killed on the job

EDMONTON – Thousands of officers attended a regimental funeral today for two Edmonton police officers who were killed on the job.

Constables Travis Jordan and Brett Ryan were shot by a teen while responding to a family dispute on March 16th.

Ashley Ryan says she thought she and her husband would have eternity together but she will now have to be satisfied with the 10 years they had here on earth.

She is expecting their first child.

The officers’ caskets, draped with Canadian flags, were carried by their colleagues into the home arena of the Edmonton Oilers.
