GPCSD announces nominees for provincial awards

Grande Prairie Catholic School District has announced nominees for a pair of provincial awards.

St Catherine’s school kindergarten teacher Angela Sheppard is the district’s nominee for the Edwin Parr teacher award.

It is presented annually to outstanding first-year teachers in Alberta.

In a release, GPCSD said being nominated for this honor is a great accomplishment and a testament to Angela’s commitment to her profession.

They added that they are proud to have Angela as a part of their educational community, and they wish her the best as she continues to inspire and educate her students.

It is given annually to organizations that have made significant contributions to education in the community.
