WHL playoffs start Friday night, half-dozen players from the Peace taking part

The Western Hockey League playoff starts Friday night with eight games.

Calgary will be in Red Deer. Grande Prairie’s Jace Isley is a forward with the host Rebels.

Regina will visit arch-rival Saskatoon. Dawson Creek’s Layton Feist is a defenceman and Sucker Creek’s Zachary Schantz is a forward with the Pats.

Vancouver travels to Kamloops. Fort St. John’s Ethan Semeniuk is a centre with the Giants.

Medicine Hat opens on the road in Winnipeg. Chetwynd’s Cayden Lindstrom is a centre with the Tigers.
