Grande Prairie woman wins big with instant lottery ticket

A Grande Prairie woman is $100,000 richer after scratching her winning Crossword 2X 3X ticket.

Tina Yates purchased the winning ticket on March 12 at the Derrick Husky.

Yates says she was “A little shocked” when she realized that she had won, adding she scanned her ticket four times with Lotto Spot before returning to the store and having the cashier scan it on their terminal to validate her winnings.

Yates said she needs more time to decide on what she will do with her windfall.
