County issuing road bans on all gravel roads starting Friday

Starting at 10 am on Friday, the County of Grande Prairie will be putting a road ban in place on all county gravel roads.

During the ban, all gravel roads will be at 75 per cent axle weight for 24 hours a day, unless otherwise posted.

Road bans are standard procedures in Alberta, as the province or municipalities put them in place to protect important infrastructure during construction, maintenance, or in this case, seasonal conditions.

Drivers who wish to stay up to date on the road bans can contact the County Road Ban Information Line at 780-513-3964 for daily updates.
