RCMP Musical Ride set to return to Grande Prairie

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

To mark the anniversary, they are bringing their famed musical ride program back to Grande Prairie’s Evergreen Park for the first time since 2006.

Shows are scheduled for 1 p.m. on both June 10 and 11, at JDA Raceway. Tickets are now on sale through Evergreen Park’s website, at a cost of $20 for adults, and $5 for kids 12 and under.

The show includes 32 police officers with their horses, performing intricate formations and drill sets to music.

Evergreen Park is also planning a 50/50 draw, and additional entertainment to perform during the show.

There will also be opportunities for the public to see the horses up close at Lewis Hawkes Arena, and to meet the officers that ride them.
