UPDATE:

The 3D Children’s Society Board members made the decision to postpone this year’s tournament, due to the current state of emergency.

At this time, no new date has been set.

An event famous in Grande Prairie for helping raise funds for seriously ill youth in the region is set to return next month.

The 3D Children’s Charity Tournament is set for May 12, at the Community Knowledge Campus and will feature students from the Grande Prairie Public, Catholic, and Peace Wapiti School Districts, representing their schools and raising money for seriously ill kids.

This year, the hockey portion will be taking place at Design Works Centre, while soccer games will be played at CKC Field.

Amenities for this year’s tournament will also include food trucks, along with a silent auction and raffle that will see all the proceeds going toward the charity.

The 3D Charity which started in 1999, hit a milestone on its 20th anniversary in 2019, reaching over $1,000,000 in total funds raised, benefitting approximately 500 sick kids in the Peace.

The community is invited to come to watch and support these students, while they play a game they love and raise money for a good cause.
