St Stephen’s vice principal receives Catholic Education award

A teacher and vice principal in the Holy Family Catholic Regional School Division has received an Excellence in Catholic Education Award.

Sandy Batherson-Campbell has been at St Stephen’s School in Valleyview since 2004 and also serves as the school’s Religious Education Co-ordinator along with her teacher and V-P duties.

Besides preparing students for their first sacraments, Batherson-Campbell also plans retreat days for students taking confirmation.

HFRCD Superintendent Betty Turpin says Batherson-Campbell is a wonderful person and a great teacher, adding she is also a treasure chest of faith-based knowledge.

St. Stephen’s Principal Jodie Chisholm said in a news release that Batherson-Campbell is a major asset to the school, the division, and the Valleyview community, adding that she is always available to anyone who needs a hand.
