Storm goalie nominated for national award

Grande Prairie Storm netminder Connor McKenzie has been named one of five finalists for the CJHL top goaltender award.

The Toronto native was named AJHL’s top goaltender after co-leading the league with a .929 save percentage and was a major reason behind the Storm making the AJHL playoffs this season.

He was named the Storm’s player of the game a total of 13 times this past season.

He is up against goalies from the Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Quebec junior leagues for the national award.
