NDP name candidate in Grande Prairie-Wapiti ahead of election call expected Monday
The NDP has named Dustin Archibald as its candidate in Grande Prairie-Wapiti for the upcoming provincial election.
A release from the party says Archibald is a development editors for a company that produces technology books. He previously worked for a local security and control company and has also spent 30 years as a volunteer Kung Fu instructor.
“As a parent, I was very concerned when the UCP introduced their inappropriate curriculum. This backwards curriculum is not one that will give my son a strong start in life. Education is one of our biggest economic drivers in the province, so we must invest in public education to ensure children have the best start to their lives. With the Alberta NDP I know that Grande Prairie-Wapiti will have properly funded schools and properly resourced staff and classrooms,” says Archibald in a release from the NDP.
Ron Wiebe is the UCP candidate in Grande Prairie-Wapiti while Brooklyn Biegel will run for the Independence Party of Alberta.
