High Prairie RCMP arrested one individual following homicide investigation

High Prairie RCMP has arrested one individual after conducting a joint investigation into a report they received on April 27.

Mounties responded to a report of an assault at a residence in Atikameg on Whitefish First Nation, they then located 56-year-old Beatrice Laboucan deceased upon entry.

Officers located another individual inside the home, and the suspect was arrested.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit was then contacted, and they took over the investigation.

As a result, On April 28, RCMP charged Whitefish First Nation resident, 31-year-old, Tristan Patrick Kayne Grey with second-degree murder.
