Beaverlodge ED closed for 12 hours Saturday

The Beaverlodge Hospital Emergency Department is temporarily closed from 7 am to 7 pm today, Saturday, May 13, due to a gap in nursing coverage.

This is a temporary measure and all other services at the site are operating as normal. Inpatient units are not affected by the closure.

Patients going to the site seeking ED services will still be provided triage and assessments, and referrals for patients to alternate emergency departments in surrounding communities, will be done as needed.

Anyone requiring emergency medical care during this time is asked to call 9-1-1. EMS calls will be re-routed to surrounding facilities.

Residents are reminded to call Health Link at 8-1-1, which is available 24/7, for non-emergency, health-related questions.
