Grande Prairie RCMP investigating suspicious fires

Grande Prairie RCMP say they are investigating several fires they consider suspicious.

Four were started Monday night, with the first starting just after 10 PM near the disc golf course in Muskoseepi Park. A suspicious male in a black hat and jacket was seen going south toward 84 Avenue.

Around 10:30, there was a brush fire near 85 Street and 102 Avenue, then two more brush fires that started around 11:15 PM near 108 Street and 117 Avenue.

Just after 1 Tuesday morning, a shed on a vacant lot at 104 Street and 102 Avenue was set on fire.

Just after 4 AM, there was a grass fire near 96 Street and 94 Avenue. A suspect has been arrested in connection with this fire.

All the fires are out. No one was hurt.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding out who is responsible.
