Grande Prairie company facing OHS Act charges for worker death
A Grande Prairie construction company is facing three charges in a 2021 death of a worker.
A first court appearance date for Mainline Construction Ltd. has been set for June 5, 2023, in Grande Prairie.
The charges stem from an incident on May 3, 2021, where a worker suffered fatal injuries after being struck by a pipe that was being loaded onto the back of a trailer near Sexsmith.
The charges include two under the Occupational Health and Safety Act for failing to ensure the health and safety of a worker.
