Evacuation Order Lifted

Valleyview residents allowed to return home Thursday

On Thursday, May 18 at 12:00 p.m., residents in Valleyview will be able to return home.

The MD of Greenview is downsizing the evacuation zone area due to the Sturgeon Lake Wildfire Complex.

People living within the identified area below will be able to go home:

• All residing within town limits of Valleyview,
• East of Range Road 225, north of Township Road 700, west to Range Road 222, south of Township Road 710

All residents that can return home will still be under an evacuation alert and are required to be prepared to leave at a moments notice in case conditions change.
