TRAIL SLOPE REPAIRS

City to start slope repair work on south end trail

Slope repair work begins Tuesday on a portion of trail north of 68 Avenue on the west side of Bear Creek.

The city says that section of the trail will be closed while crews work on the project, which includes the removal and repaving of asphalt and temporary trails.

Users can detour around the work by using the trails between 102 Street and Kateri Drive. Trail closure and detour signs are currently in place.

There will also be intermittent lane restrictions for westbound traffic on 68 Avenue, west of the bridge, to allow crews access to the site to deliver materials and equipment.

Weather permitting, the city expects the project to wrap up by mid-July.
