Why did you decide to run?

I am running because the Alberta where I grew up was safe, spent within her means, proud of our heritage, full of opportunity, and prosperous. But if we want that to continue, we need to choose it. Otherwise, we have Rachel Notley and the NDP.

If elected, what would you want to implement?

If re- elected I want to work with municipalities for safer streets, I want to see proven conservative policy to keep growing our economy through low taxes, balanced budgets, and being a province that attracts investment.

Why should residents vote for you?

I’m asking for your vote because over the last four years in spite of the oil price roller coaster, the pandemic, multiple floods, and fires- under the United Conservatives Alberta has seen the fastest growing economy in Canada, record investment in our constituency’s schools, hospitals, highways, and infrastructure while still balancing the budget and defending our energy and resource sectors. The NDP would move us backwards on all of these fronts.

In the Peace Region specifically, what changes would you like to see?

In the Peace Region, I would like to see more investment in infrastructure and support for our resource sector. A UCP re-election would deliver on the Hwy 686 connector to Fort Mac, upgraded or new bridges over the Wabasca, Boyer, Peace, and Notikewin rivers, incentives for Agri-food and Forestry investment, and a credible plan for rural crime.

If applicable, why have you chosen to align yourself with your political party?

The United Conservative Party values our rural and northern communities as the economic engine of the province. I don’t want to see Notley win because of another vote split.

If applicable, what things will your party do, if it forms a majority government that would make life better for Albertans, and northwestern residents?

If re-elected you can trust the United Conservatives to keep our economy on track with good jobs for our resource-based economy while supporting our public services like healthcare and education.

Flash forward four years, and you’ve been an elected official for some time, what would you want Albertan’s main takeaway from your time in the legislature to be?

I hope Albertans will have seen that we as a province and you as a family are better off than you would have been under the NDP.

Tell us about yourself, growing up, life experiences, past careers, etc:

I grew up in Alberta and have always believed that our province was a special place! My wife Maureen and I are raising our two-year-old son Benedict in La Crete. I am running for re-election for his future to be bright!
