Proactive arrest by High Level RCMP leads to stolen property

Thanks to a proactive arrest by High Level RCMP and the Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, two individuals with outstanding warrants and stolen property are now in custody.

On Tuesday, May 23, at a residence in Paddle Prairie, 27-year-old Jarrett Ducharme, of no fixed address, was arrested for the following outstanding warrants:

  • Two charges of break and enter
  • Two charges of theft over $5,000

Ducharme was also additionally charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

36-year-old Nathan Loonskin, a resident of Paddle Prairie, was also arrested for possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Both individuals were held for a judicial interim hearing, following the hearing Ducharme was remanded into custody with a court date set for May 25, while Loonskin was released with conditions and expected back in the Alberta Court of Justice in High Level on June 13.
