City lifts fire ban, OHV ban

The city has announced it is lifting fire bans and off-highway vehicle bans within city boundaries.
In a news release, the city says the decision was made based on a number of factors, including a reduction in the fire hazard, recent rainfall, and improving conditions.
All fire permits that had previously been suspended are now once again valid.
The use of incinerators or burn barrels, natural gas or propane-powered fire pits, barbecues, smokers, torches, displays and recreational outdoor fires are also once again allowed, as are wood fires in engineered facilities in campgrounds.
