Paving project begins tonight at 108 Street and 84 Ave intersection

A repaving project by the city is set to begin tonight (Friday, May 26) at 7 p.m. and last until Sunday, (May 28) morning.

At the intersection of 84 Avenue and 108 Street, crews will be setting up a detour and closing down 84 Ave to all east and west travelers, while 108 Street will keep a single lane open in both directions while work is ongoing.

Crews are expected to work overnight from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and the intersection will re-open during the day.

Field Inspector, Monty Haughian said in a release, ” Our priority is to provide residents and commuters with improved road conditions and a safer, more efficient travel experience,”

The city said in a release, they appreciate the understanding and cooperation of residents during construction season.
