City partners with Aquatera to bring “Here Come’s Summer” to Muskoseepi Park

A new event being rolled out by the City and Aquatera Utilities is set to take place in Muskoseepi Park on June 3rd.

Running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the event will feature numerous outdoor free activities for residents to take part in, such as:

  • Aquatera Outdoor Pool season opening with free public swimming ( open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
  • Community barbecue.
  • Muskoseepi Park spray park season opening.
  • Outdoor games.
  • Roller skating demonstrations from S3 at the tennis courts.
  • S3 Skate Day+ at the skate park.
  • Roaming entertainment.
  • Scavenger hunt.

Created as a way to celebrate the opening of multiple City ran outdoor amenities, Mayor Jackie Clatyon said in a release, ” Grande Prairie has so many great outdoor recreation amenities where residents can keep active, have fun and enjoy being outside. We look forward to opening up and welcoming everyone to our summer amenities for the season.”

All event activities are first come, first serve, and the Aquatera outdoor pool will be open till 10 pm.

Chief Executive with Aquatera, Vaughn Bend said in the same release, “Here Comes Summer is a great way to bring our community together, celebrate and connect with residents, and give back to those who give us so much.”

During the event, the Aquatera Outdoor Pool will officially open for the season, operating Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
