Fort St. John RCMP investigating shots fired report

Fort St. John RCMP are investigating after reports of shots fired early Tuesday morning.

Mounties say in a release that the reports came in at 5:52 AM BC time from the area of 104A Avenue and 112 Street in Fort St. John.

There are no reports of injuries. Police did find shell casings in the area.

RCMP say they have “detained numerous persons of interest” but have not released any names or charges.

“The Fort St John RCMP takes threats of gun violence very seriously and the investigation will be ongoing. If anyone saw anything, has surveillance or dash cam video of the incident and has not yet spoken to police, please call us,” says Fort St. John RCMP Constable Chad Neustaeter in a release.
