Brownvale man charged after break-in leads to witness vehicle being run off the road, then rammed

Fairview RCMP says an incident that led to a witness’s vehicle being run off the road, and a witness’s vehicle later being rammed, has led to charges against a Brownvale man.

Mounties say they got a report on Wednesday of a break-in near Hines Creek at a rural business.

A witness confronted the suspect but had their vehicle run off the road.

Witnesses later spotted the suspect again and tried to confront him, but the suspect crashed his vehicle into a witness’s vehicle, then tried to get away on foot.

He was caught and held by witnesses until police arrived.

Twenty-two-year-old Kyle Robinson is facing two counts each of dangerous driving and possession of property obtained by crime plus one more of break and enter.

He has been remanded and is due in Peace River court June 5.
