GPCSD names new principals for four schools

Jun 1, 2023 | 2:13 PM

Four schools within the Grande Prairie Catholic School District will have new principals when the 2023-24 school year begins in the fall.

As previously announced, Shelley LaCroix has moved from St Catherine’s to become principal of St Patrick’s school, which is set to re-open this fall.

She was replaced on an interim basis by Darryl Thibault, who will move to St Kateri to become an assistant principal there in the fall.

The new principal at St Catherine’s will be Laura Houle-Tapson, who is currently principal at St Mary’s school in Sexsmith.

Replacing Houle-Tapson at St Mary’s will be Danielle Squires, who is currently the grade 5 classroom support teacher at that school.

And Danielle Campbell will move from her assistant principal position at St John Paul II High school to become principal at St Clement school in the fall.
