Mother and infant in serious condition after head-on collision in Fairview

On Wednesday, May 31, Fairview RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision, just outside of the Fairview detachment.

Early investigations indicate a car traveling in a 30km/h zone at a high rate of speed collided head-on with a pick-up truck hauling a trailer, at 8:30 a.m.

Mounties located the driver of the car, a 30-year-old resident of Grande Prairie, who was deceased at the scene.

The two occupants of the pick-up truck pulling a trailer a 29-year-old woman and her one-year-old son, both residents of Berwyn, were airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.
